
Pekanbaru, February 20, 2025 – The Faculty of Social and Political Sciences (FISIP) of Riau University confirmed its commitment to achieving performance targets through the signing of a Performance Agreement between the Dean of FISIP, Dr. Meyzi Heriyanto, S.Sos., M.Sc., and the Chancellor of Riau University Prof. Dr. Sri Indarti, S.E. M.Sc., at the Riau University Development Planning Conference (Musrenbang) for the 2026 Fiscal Year held at the Student Center Building, Pekanbaru, February 20, 2025.
The Chancellor of Riau University Prof. Dr. Sri Indarti, S.E., M.Sc., said that the signing of this Performance Agreement is a strategic step in ensuring the achievement of institutional targets that are in line with the vision of Riau University. "The commitment of each faculty in implementing this performance agreement will be the basis for Riau University to continue to develop and transform towards a World Class University," said Prof. Sri. The Chancellor also emphasized the importance of synergy between all elements of the university in achieving the targets that have been set.

Dean of FISIP Dr. Meyzi Heriyanto, S.Sos., M.Si., said that this agreement is a form of FISIP's institutional responsibility in realizing the strategic vision of Universitas Riau. "FISIP is committed to being upright with the Chancellor to continue to improve academic quality, administrative services, and strengthen cooperation networks to support Universitas Riau in achieving its target as a Legal Entity State University (PTN-BH) based on digital transformation," said Dr. Meyzi.
Vice Dean for Academic Affairs, Dr. Auradian Marta, S.IP., M.A., emphasized that curriculum innovation and the implementation of Merdeka Belajar Kampus Merdeka (MBKM) are the main focus in order to create competitive graduates. "We will continue to encourage adaptive learning methods with technological developments and the needs of the world of work," said Dr. Auradian.
Meanwhile, Vice Dean for General Affairs and Finance, Dr. Mayarni, S.Sos., M.Si., emphasized the importance of efficient budget management. "With this Performance Agreement, we are increasingly motivated to manage resources optimally, accountably, and transparently to support various strategic FISIP programs," explained Dr. Mayarni.
Vice Dean for Student Affairs, Alumni, and Cooperation, Dr. Saiman Pakpahan, S.IP., M.Sc., highlighted the role of students and alumni in developing networks and increasing the competitiveness of graduates. "We will continue to develop programs that can strengthen student competencies and establish strategic partnerships with various institutions," said Dr. Saiman.
The 2026 Riau University Musrenbang is an important momentum in formulating strategies to improve the quality of education and services. With the commitment stated in this Performance Agreement, Riau University FISIP is optimistic that it can make a real contribution to achieving the university's target of becoming a World Class University.
